From Denmark, Amphior (Mathias Hammerstrøm) builds on the gloom of his debut EP but takes it to a deeper and darker level. On Unlocked, there is no color, no sun, no joy. Just a harrowing listen of melancholic textures and atmospheric post-dubstep. Blending noisy, distorted and distant sounds, Amphior blends these with pitched vocal-samples of yesteryear, stricken with despair and emptiness. Unlocked may be all gloom, but its sadness is elegant and a joy to listen to.
