Paul Chin Remixes “Halfway” By Daniela Andrade

Over in Alberta, Edmonton’s Daniela Andrade has been releasing solid covers ranging from the serene “Heartbeats” by The Knife, to Childish Gambino’s “Telegraph Ave/Sober” which will make you smile with its light hearted flow. Last week saw the release of her haunting Halfway, with her delicate voice floating along with a somber guitar strum and a spine chilling finale.

Toronto’s Paul Chin remixed Halfway with the same somber tone to start but tops it with some kick.  With the addition of keys and ultimately some bass, it’s more what you’d listen to several months later as you slowly get over the loss and reflect back. You might still cry. You might still shout. But both are haunting and beautiful, full of emotions with the realization that one must move on and such is life. Until the next.

Both versions of Halfway are available as a free download at their respective links. Head over to Daniela Andrade’s soundcloud for more beauties, as well as Paul Chin’s and spin that “Dancing Drums” EP he released early in the summer.
