Premiere: Watch The Nostalgia Inducing Video For Dog Trainer’s “Six Forty”

Premiere Watch The Nostalgia Inducing Video For Dog Trainer's Six Forty

A few weeks before New York-based outfit Dog Trainer released their Apartments EP, we featured the wonderful single and video for Graffiti. Today, we’re excited to premiere the video for the fourth track, Six Forty.

A kiss and a shrug, is that what you meant by love?

Alongside the fleeting, grainy photographs of the band and New York, driving acoustic guitars are joined by a single drum that strikes like the murmur of a longing heart. While frontman Nicholas Greenberg reflects on the past with a melancholic urgency, he comes to the conclusion that “she wasn’t wrong about me.” Like when you built up three years of joy and passion and watched her pack her things and walk out the door after warning you that you’ll never change. She wasn’t wrong. The same bullshit perpetuates and the regret sinks in when the next casualty walks out the door.

With its backdrop of warm analog sounds, watch Six Forty below as it invokes a deep sense of nostalgia and reverie. For more, be sure to spin Apartments.
