Slow Down is the first new single from Lyrah since ‘The View’ and accompanying video, which we also discussed earlier this year. Written a couple of months into the great dumpster fire of 2020, Lyrah reflects on this despairing period as we sat locked away watching the world continue hurling itself into the void.
On the single, she says:
“I wrote this song over Zoom with my best friend. We were 2 months into the pandemic, I had just lost a relative, and while we were reminded of how precious life was, we had no control over it. This song is what came out of our conversation that night and one line captured it best — “Maybe I should really know by now, how to make the world slow down.”
