Brooklyn-based Attics have been making music together for decades but have been quiet the last few years since they released their last EP, “Daylight Savings Time”. They’ve now returned with a new single and accompanying video for December 31.
Served as a send-off to the decade, December 31 opens with, “I was born in a hearse/ Lived my life in reverse. Vocal harmonies, auditorium piano, fingerpicked guitars, and pulsing bass gradually builds as they reflect on this tumultuous time somewhere between madness and sanity, wide-eyed and drunk weeping crocodile tears.
Some hope remains if this is just the first of many new Attics releases.
