Atlanta-based producer Inner State 81 links up with singer Behwah and rising rapper Vante Alonzo to release a collaborative EP titled, “More Than Just A ___”. Cry Baby, which was originally teased on Tik Tok and amassed over 600k views, is the first single from the trio.
Cry Baby is a dreamy lo-fi anthem for those procrastinating or feel like they’re lagging behind due to outside forces which they place all their blame. Inner State 81’s production fuses bedroom-pop with lo-fi hip hop, pitter-pattering with soft pads. With lavender tinted vocals, Behwah drifts while Alonzo delivers slick bars adding contrast to Behwah’s sweet and fragrant voice.
