It’s rare that I feature remixes on these pages, but ALFi’s remix of Zosia’s Water sounds nothing like the original with the leaden weight of unknown bodies turned inwards. An ominous thud is accompanied by a swirl of ambient notes and percussion that hits and twists like a river choked with teased and knotted roots. Water continues to push and pull, quaking and somnolent while Zosia’s haunting vocals echo throughout with a cold kiss until the floods swell, so open your lungs and let it in.
