Metropolis is a track off of Thane’s debut concept album, Topia, that highlights the battle between the individual and their environment. On Metropolis, quiet notes and a delicate hum begin and soon ends with a tense rise. There’s a level of uncertainty that mounts; you’re unsure where this is going. The tension rises and rises with drum and bass playing in the far distance and fades away. The tension never ceases though. It looms over you in this ethereal atmosphere and stirs you until the climax hits with deep bass, rocking the foundation of everything you believed in and loved.
