Since moving from Denver to Los Angeles in 2016, Whitney Carr has been in the studio releasing a slew of singles with her producer and collaborator, GEO, including last years “Stayed”. The singer-songwriter also known as Wit Blu has now returned with the new Burgundy.
With a tantalizing mix of pop and jazz, Burgundy bumps and flutters and swoons and dances with smooth, sophisticated notes. “Bury me in burgundy, keep my eyes wide open/ Throw my ashes in the sea, either way I’m floating,” sings Carr, reminding us to live with open hearts and open souls, guilt free with an ‘I don’t give a fuck’ attitude.
