Following a double single release featuring “Nothing Beyond” and Like Summer, the multi-talented Kyan now returns with a captivating video for the latter.
After emerging from a dark period, Like Summer is blissfully soulful with a rich golden embrace. Kyan reunited with frequent collaborator Monica G. Carter for the video which depicts Kyan sailing the waters of Xochimilco, Mexico City in a ‘trajinera’. From the darkness, he emerges and embraces his own fragility and sensitivity after having been destroyed. Speaking of the video, he says:
“Like Summer was me finally waking up from what felt like a two year sleep, so it’s a very special song for me. It feels good to be able to tell my truth whilst also being able to show other people that even from that dark place there can always be a way out.
