I last covered Inning (Even Frolov) a year and a half ago when he released his “The D.C Party Machine” EP. Frolov has since backpacked around Southern France with a USB mic and a 25 key midi keyboard. It was in the small university city of Aix en Provence which this song of the same title was born.
Aix en Provence is propelled by youthful energy that collapses into stripped-down cello driven verses like wild streaks of lightning from behind a mountain. Much like Frolov’s spontaneous days in France, you’re unsure of where the song is going and that’s alright. Let it peel your eyelids back.
